Rupinder Sidhu

Rupinder Sidhu is a musician, producer and composer of many genres, from folk and classical forms of India to Hip Hop, Reggae, Tuvin throat singing, to West African percussion, and more.
Inspired by the raw expressions of live looping, he has toured internationally as a vocalist and multi-instrumentalist, and has created numerous works for dance, theatre and film.

Mallol

Mallol is a Barcelona-based musician and performer who blends didgeridoo, a traditional Australian wind instrument, with electronic dance music. He has collaborated with the Cirque du Soleil, Cafe del Mar, Buddha Bar and Pacha and a variety of dance clubs around the Costa del Sol and Ibiza.

Masood Ali Khan

Dr. Masood Ali Khan, Ph.D, is a musician of versatile talents on Didgeridoo, hand drums and guitar who composes and performs his music with the greater intention of  inspiring the spirit and of helping humanity. A practitioner of yoga for 20 years and a student of acupuncture, he was head of the teaching faculty for Human and Universal Energy for Health and Wellness at the International University for Complementary Medicines in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

Loscil

The serene ambient compositions of Loscil are creations of Vancouver-based musician Scott Morgan — the name Loscil comes from the “looping oscillator” function in the computer music language Csound. Loscil’s sound combines influences from Morgan’s involvement with Vancouver’s indie rock scene as a guitarist and drummer and from his academic studies in computer music, film sound and new music composition. Scott Morgan has also composed several scores for major and indie games and films.

Thievery Corporation

Thievery Corporation is a Washington, D.C. based  duo consisting of Rob Garza and Eric Hilton. Their music mixes elements of dub, acid jazz, reggae, Indian classical, Middle Eastern, and Brazilian, featuring lyrics in English, Spanish, French, Persian, Portuguese, Romanian and Hindi. Over the years, Thievery Corporation has become known for the festive atmosphere of their live shows, during which they bring out a 15-member band of musicians and vocalists. The duo has taken progressive political stances on various issues, against war and exploitation, and in support of human rights and food programs.

Christen Lien

Christen Lien is a classically trained violist who performs original compositions that bridge Eastern and Western traditions, classical and postmodern, as well as acoustic and electronic genres. Incorporating layers of live effects with her viola through the use of  processors and looping pedals, Lien creates evocative music and beautifully haunting performance art.
Her music has been  featured in films and short form media, commercials, live theater and dance performances, as well as in support of environmental, political and scientific campaigns.
